Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how TruHunt L.L.C. ("TruHunt", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares Personal Information when you use our websites, mobile applications, maps, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Important Notice Regarding Georgia Hunting Data
Certain hunting-related data, including game management boundaries, season data, and related regulatory information within the State of Georgia, is sourced from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (Georgia DNR), including its Game Management section. TruHunt does not create, modify, or independently verify this data. Such information is only as accurate, current, and complete as the data provided by the Georgia DNR. Users are solely responsible for independently verifying all hunting regulations, boundaries, and legal requirements directly with the Georgia DNR or other appropriate authorities before engaging in hunting or outdoor activities.
General Disclaimer
TruHunt does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any GPS data, maps, property boundaries, terrain data, wildlife data, or location-based information. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account & Identity: Name, email address, and internal account identifiers provided when you create an account.
- Precise Location: GPS coordinates when you grant location permission, used to display your position on hunting maps, power map features, enable the Party Tracker, and look up land parcel data. Location is transmitted off your device to enable core features.
- Approximate Location: General geographic area used for map centering and relevant content.
- User-Generated Content: Waypoints, notes, photos, and other content you choose to upload or save within the Service.
- Financial & Purchase Information: Subscription status and purchase history managed through third-party payment and subscription management providers. TruHunt does not store full payment card numbers; payment processing is handled entirely by our payment processor.
- App Activity: In-app interactions, search queries, map features used, and other usage signals collected to improve the Service.
- App Performance & Diagnostics: Crash logs and diagnostic data (device model, OS version, app version) used to detect and fix bugs.
- Device Identifiers: Device IDs assigned by authentication services and your operating system, used for authentication, analytics, and push notifications.
- Communications: Messages you send to our support team.
Geolocation Data
We collect precise location data only when you grant permission through your device settings. Location data is used to provide core app functionality including map display, Party Tracker (real-time location sharing with your hunting party), and land parcel lookups. You may disable location access at any time in device settings, but doing so will limit or disable core features. Real-time location shared via Party Tracker is transmitted to a secure cloud database and is only visible to members of your active party session.

- Provide, operate, and improve the Service and its features
- Process subscription payments and manage access levels
- Deliver real-time location sharing (Party Tracker)
- Look up land parcel ownership and boundary data
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries

- Service Providers: We share data with third-party providers who process it on our behalf to deliver the Service (see “Third-Party SDKs and Services” below).
- Party Tracker: When you join a Party Tracker session, your real-time location is shared with other party members via a secure real-time cloud database.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

Third-Party SDKs and Services
Our app integrates third-party libraries and services that may collect or receive user data to deliver the Service. This disclosure covers data transmitted by these integrations regardless of whether it goes to TruHunt or directly to the third party.
- Authentication provider — Receives your email address and manages secure authentication tokens on your behalf.
- Real-time database provider — Stores and transmits real-time location data during Party Tracker sessions and syncs user-generated content such as waypoints and notes.
- Analytics & diagnostics provider — Collects app usage events, device identifiers, OS/app version, and diagnostic data to help us understand app usage and improve performance.
- Mapping provider — Receives your device's location to render map tiles and display your position. The mapping SDK may collect telemetry data such as device location and identifiers per its default settings.
- Payment processor — Processes subscription payments and receives billing information (payment card details, billing address) directly from you. TruHunt receives only subscription status and transaction identifiers.
- Subscription management provider — Manages in-app purchase entitlements and receives your app store user ID, purchase history, and subscription status.
- Mapping & parcel data provider — Used to display map layers and land parcel data, and may receive your location to serve relevant geographic data.
- Land parcel lookup provider — Receives your location coordinates to look up private land parcel ownership information displayed on the map. Data is not retained by TruHunt beyond the immediate request.
User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, including hunting, firearm, land access, and wildlife regulations. TruHunt does not provide legal advice or authorization to access land or hunt wildlife.
Data Retention
We retain Personal Information while your account is active and as necessary to provide the Service. After account deletion, data may remain in backups for up to 90 days.
Google Play Data Safety Disclosure
In compliance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements, the following summarizes the data our app collects, shares, and how it is handled:
- Data collected: Name, email address, user IDs, precise location, approximate location, user-generated content (waypoints, notes), purchase history, subscription status, app interactions, crash logs/diagnostics, and device identifiers.
- Data shared with third parties: Location data is shared with mapping and parcel lookup providers to power map features. Authentication data is shared with our authentication provider. Purchase and subscription data is shared with our payment processor and subscription management provider. App analytics and diagnostics are shared with our analytics provider. Party Tracker location is shared with other members of your party session via a secure real-time cloud database.
- Data collected by third-party SDKs: Third-party libraries embedded in our app may independently collect device identifiers, location, and usage data as described in the “Third-Party SDKs and Services” section above.
- Ephemeral processing: Certain location data used solely for real-time map rendering or parcel lookups is processed ephemerally (only in memory for the duration of the request) and is not retained on our servers beyond the immediate service of that request.
- Data security: All data transmitted between your device and our servers and third-party services is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS. Account data is stored in secured, access-controlled databases.
- Data deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at support@truhunt.ai. After deletion, residual data in backups is purged within 90 days.
