Downloading Offline Map Packs
Step-by-step: download an entire hunt unit for offline use so you have GPS even with no signal.
Most of the best hunting spots have the worst cell service. Download your area before you leave home.
- 1
Tap the Offline Maps tab.
- 2
Tap New Offline Map.
- 3
Pan the map so your hunting area sits inside the selection box. The download uses your current basemap style, so pick your preferred basemap (e.g. satellite) first.
- 4
Give the map a name — like the unit you're hunting.
- 5
Choose a detail level:
- •Ultra-Low-Res — smallest file size, good for a big-picture overview
- •Low-Res — balanced detail
- •High-Res — highest detail, best for navigating on foot
- 6
Check the Estimated Download Size against your Available Storage, then tap Create. Keep the app open on Wi-Fi while it downloads — you can watch progress under Active Downloads.
- 7
To manage saved maps, tap any pack to view its size, area, and detail level, or to pause, resume, or delete it.
Tip: Turn on Only use offline maps at the top of the Offline Maps panel when you're in the field — the app will rely entirely on your downloaded maps and won't attempt any network requests.
