Using Parcel & Ownership Layers
How to see who owns land near your hunt area and identify public vs. private boundaries.
Know exactly whose land you're near before you step across a boundary.
- 1
Open the Layers tab.
- 2
Under Private Lands, turn on Private Land. (Public land layers like Hunting Units, State Land, and Federal Land are in the Public Lands section.)
- 3
Zoom in — parcel boundaries appear as you get closer, with owner labels at higher zoom levels.
- 4
Tap any parcel to open its details, including:
- •Owner name
- •Acreage
- •Property Address and Tax Address
- •County, land use, and elevation where available
- 5
Track your permission status per parcel by tagging it No access, Conditional, or Permitted, and add a private note (e.g. "Talked to owner 10/15 — OK for archery only").
Tip: The parcel your map reticle is sitting on is the one you'll tap — zoom in close near boundary lines to make sure you're reading the right property.
